The Phoenix Fire Pit

The Phoenix Fire Pit was created with steel salvaged from a house site that was burnt in the 2019 Lobethal wildfires in the Adelaide Hills. I decided to re-purpose it into a sculptural fire pit and now it is for sale!

The outside diameter measures 130cm and 100cm inside.

It stands 70cm high, making it an ideal height to stand comfortably around.

The gaps between the rebar provides excellent aeration and drops minimal ash.

It can be accessorised with a swing-away BBQ grill/plate, or use it as a large ice bucket with an umbrella for entertainment all year round. Accessories can be designed and built to suit your personal needs.

It is made from a mix of recycled 32mm and 20mm rebar and weighs 1.5 tonne.

This fire pit is historic in its own right. The steel that was once left amongst the ashes of a devastating bushfire has now been formed into an epic sculpture showcasing the beauty of controlled flame.
